Epsom salt is a natural mineral compound of magnesium and sulfur extracted from dolomite rock. It takes its name from the spa town of Epsom, England, where it was discovered in 1618.
It not only has a relaxing and remineralizing effect, but also acts as a muscle and joint relaxant. A bath is the best way to enjoy its benefits. It can also be used to make bath bombs or bath sachets.

Ingredient: Magnesium sulfate heptahydrate USP.

 

RECIPES

Bath: 1 to 2 cups of Epsom salt in a warm bath. You can add 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil and 15–20 drops of essential oils of your choice.

Examples of essential oils: lavender, litsea, balsam fir, black spruce, petitgrain bigarade, ravintsara*, eucalyptus radiata*, eucalyptus globulus*

* If you have asthma, avoid using these cineole-rich essential oils.

Foot bath: 2 tablespoons of Epsom salt in a basin of hot water.

Healthy scalp: Wash your hair with 1/2 teaspoon of Epsom salt mixed with a small amount of shampoo and rinse thoroughly, once a week.

Gardening: 1 tablespoon in 2 liters of water. Shake and spray the mixture on the soil and leaves to maintain plant health.
