Carnauba wax

Carnauba wax comes from the Copernicus cerifera palm tree native to Brazil. Due to its high melting point and film-forming properties, it is mostly used when making cosmetics. It is a key ingredient in lipstick formulations to increase heat resistance, hardness and wear. It can also be used to increase film or to thicken balms or emulsions.
