318 pages. Inspir Ed. – “Aromatherapy Professionally” Collection
Elske Miles is a professional reflex and aromatherapy practitioner. Today she is dedicated to the training of professional practitioners in both fields. Her knowledge of Traditional Chinese Medicine as well as the therapeutic use of essential oils led her to develop with Michel Odoul the technique of phyto-energetics – a technique that allows the use of the vibratory qualities of essential oils to re-parameterize the energy in a given meridian. With this book, Elske Miles offers an overview of the aromatic tools for the different levels (somatic, psycho-emotional and energetic) on which the professional reflexologist can work in the office.
At the invitation of Dominique Baudoux, internationally renowned aromatologist pharmacist and director of the “Professional Aromatherapy” collection, she shares her expertise in the use of essential oils in the fields of foot, palm, ear and facial reflexotherapy. To make this book a practical tool, the author gives examples of reflexological protocols for different health imbalances. The different protocols in foot, palm, facial and auricular reflexology are richly illustrated with maps and photos to allow the professional public to find a precious support.
The therapeutic contribution of essential oils for reflexotherapy being unknown, some foot reflexology techniques recommend a work of stimulation on the reflex zones without using any cream, massage oil or talcum powder. So that any professional practitioner can find his way through the advice for use given in this book, the author takes into consideration the particularity of each approach and explains how to integrate essential oils into a treatment while respecting the logic of each particular technique. However, as the Chinese practice of foot reflexology traditionally incorporates aromatic ointments, the author has chosen to describe in detail a number of protocols with specific therapeutic aims in this book.
