318 pages. Published by Inspir – Collection “L’aromathérapie professionnellement” (Professional Aromatherapy).

Elske Miles is a professional practitioner of reflexology and aromatherapy. Today she devotes herself to training professional practitioners in both fields. Her knowledge of Traditional Chinese Medicine and the therapeutic use of essential oils led her to develop, together with Michel Odoul, the technique of phyto-energetics—a technique that allows the vibrational qualities of essential oils to be used to rebalance the energy in a given meridian. In this book, Elske Miles offers an overview of aromatic tools addressing the various levels (somatic, psycho-emotional, and energetic) that a professional reflexologist may need to work with in a clinical setting.

At the invitation of Dominique Baudoux, an internationally renowned pharmacist and aromatherapist and director of the “Professional Aromatherapy” series, she shares her expertise on the use of essential oils in the fields of foot, hand, ear, and facial reflexology. To make this book a practical resource, the author provides examples of reflexology protocols for various health imbalances. The various protocols for foot, hand, facial, and ear reflexology are richly illustrated with maps and photos to provide a valuable resource for professionals.

Since the therapeutic benefits of essential oils in reflexology are often overlooked, some foot reflexology techniques recommend stimulating reflex zones without using cream, massage oil, or talcum powder. To ensure that all professional practitioners can find guidance in the usage recommendations provided in this book, the author takes into account the unique characteristics of each approach and explains how to integrate essential oils into a treatment while respecting the logic of each specific technique. However, since the Chinese practice of foot reflexology traditionally incorporates aromatic ointments, the author has chosen to describe in detail a number of protocols with specific therapeutic aims in this book.
