Sodium hydroxide (lye or caustic soda)

Also called caustic soda, NaOH or lye, sodium hydroxide is made from marine water electrolysis and is used when making solid soaps.

Caution: Very dermocaustic product. In case of accidental burns, sponge with vinegar. The vinegar’s acidity will neutralize sodium hydroxide’s alkalinity.
