Each ingredient in Gastric Relief™ has a specific role to play. Mastic gum has been shown to deactivate Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori), a bacterium responsible for many cases of heartburn and ulcers. Vitamin C increases stomach acidity; most gastric problems stem from a lack of gastric acid rather than an excess. Ginger calms the stomach in the event of digestive upset, while the zinc-carnosine combination and nitric oxide promote healing of damaged stomach cells. Finally, sodium alginate prevents gastric contents from backing up into the oesophagus, prevents painful heartburn symptoms and protects the oesophagus from damage caused by acidity.
