Bentonite clay, 454 g

Bentonite clay powder has a slight electrical charge that attracts toxins trapped deep in your skin, such as oils and excessive sebum build-up in the pores. Mix with cider vinegar and/or water to create a cleansing face mask.

Preparing a clay paste: Pour a measure of bentonite clay powder into a glass container and gradually add 2 measures of water or cider vinegar, stirring with a wooden spatula until a smooth, homogeneous paste is obtained. Adjust the consistency of the paste with water to suit the desired use.

As a beauty mask: Apply a thin layer of clay paste to a clean, dry face and neck, avoiding the contours of the eyes and lips. Leave on until the mask is no longer sticky to the touch, but before it begins to crack. Rinse off with lukewarm water and dry skin gently with a cotton towel. Complete the treatment by applying a moisturizing cream. Apply a thicker layer for deeper cleansing. Use once or twice a week.
