How can we best adjust aromatic complexity to human complexity? Homeostasis is the ability of all living creatures to keep all their functions in balance despite external constraints and aggressions. Aromatherapy has earned its stripes as a surprisingly responsive technique for care and healing. But its definition is not limited to this aspect alone. Even more than in other disciplines, it is impossible to ignore the strong aromatic identity of its raw material, the complex, volatile, intense essence or essential oil, which systematically elicits an emotional response in humans. It never leaves anyone indifferent. Nor is it possible to ignore the plant and its environment, in which this raw material was developed, the one and only \u201caromatherapy laboratory\u201d; it must be taken into account that, due to its very complexity, aromatic essence is not a simple answer. It requires taking into account the human being in their entirety: \u201cbody and soul.\u201d<\/p>\n
