Hunza is a region located in northern Pakistan. The people are known for their excellent health (they don\u2019t know the meaning of the word \u201cillness\u201d) and their longevity (up to 140 years!). According to legend, this people are descended from warriors of Alexander the Great who married Persian women.<\/p>\n

It was in 1891 that this region was \u201cdiscovered\u201d by the West: the British took control of the area to counter Russian ambitions in Central Asia. A doctor was tasked with assessing the health of the inhabitants. As he passed through the Hunza region, he noted in his journal, \u201cNothing to report.\u201d<\/p>\n

It was only upon returning home, when he reread his notes, that he realized that, precisely because there was nothing to report, there was everything to report\u2014since there were no diseases! He therefore returned there to understand the reasons. According to him, it was a combination of a healthy, frugal diet, pure water, and a lack of stress, all tied to their way of life.<\/p>\n

Unfortunately, industrialization is beginning to take hold, polluting and disrupting their ecological, social, and economic environment; these upheavals pushing them toward the reality of illness\u2026<\/p>\n

We have therefore named our company in memory of this people and to signify that we do everything we can to guide our clients toward this ideal of health.<\/p>\n

The symbol\u00a0\"\" that replaces the first A in Hunzaroma is the symbol for sulfur. In alchemy, sulfur is considered to be the soul. In the plant kingdom, sulfur\u2014or the plant soul\u2014is found in essential oils.<\/p>\n
